(Relaxnews) – At nearly 32 years old, the Brazilian supermodel looks set to become a household name, joining the prestigious team of L’Oréal Paris brand ambassadors, guaranteeing herself prime visibility in the world of beauty, as well as starring alongside Natasha Poly and Liu Wen in the Fall/Winter campaign of Italian lingerie label La Perla, which was revealed this week. Though her face may be less known to the general public than that of Cara Delevingne or Kendall Jenner, Isabeli Fontana does however have an impressive career behind her already. A look back at the beauty and fashion background of the South American stunner.

Isabeli Fontana was first noticed during the famous Elite Model Look competition, when she was just 13 years old; she made her way to the finals before ultimately losing out. After that, her career took off rather slowly, until she appeared in the Victoria’s Secret catalogue before her 18th birthday, a move that caused some controversy — and, rather than working against her, served to bring a whole new level of fame.

Queen of the runway, and so much more

Her pretty face and shapely figure (5’8 and 34-23-35) allowed her early on to grace the covers of some of the world’s top fashion magazines in addition to walking the runways for ready-to-wear brands. To date, the Brazilian beauty has featured on more than 50 Vogue covers around the world.

But a modeling career is also constructed through luxury fashion shows and advertising campaigns, and in those areas too, Isabeli Fontana holds her own in comparison with the supermodels of the 1990s and 2000s. At barely 20 years old, the bombshell was seen on the catwalks for several of the biggest ready-to-wear and haute couture brands, such as Givenchy, Hugo Boss, Versace, Balmain, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Isabel Marant, Valentino, Kenzo and Prada to name just a few.

Fontana is also an A-list model when it comes to advertising campaigns, counting more than 70 brand partnerships to her name. The Brazilian has already posed for Versace, Chanel, Revlon, Viktor & Rolf, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, H&M, Missoni, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Estée Lauder, Donna Karan and Vogue Eyewear.

And to top it off, the blue-eyed beauty has featured in several editions of the celebrated Pirelli calendar.

L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador

Now 31 years old, after a career at the top of the modeling world, Isabeli Fontana might seem ready to scale it back a bit. However, this hasn’t prevented her from appearing in campaigns such as the new one for La Perla or recently signing with one of the most famous cosmetics brands in the world. Though L’Oréal Paris has a knack for singling out new talents, the brand has also always teamed up with world famous models, actors and singers, a trend that continues today.

At present, L’Oréal Paris has yet to reveal what line of products Fontana will represent.
