Bayanihan Performance in DC on November 4 Sold Out, Few Tickets Remain For November 3

Washington, DC. – The scheduled performances of Bayanihan National Dance Company of the Philippines in Washington, D.C. has received an enthusiastic response from the public as tickets for the November 4 show at the Kennedy Center have been sold out.  While tickets remain for the dance company’s November 3 performance, the public is encouraged to make their purchases soon as these are selling fast.

Founded by Dr. Helena Benitez in 1957, Bayanihan had its roots at the Philippine Women’s University and became the Philippine National Folk Dance Company through an act of Congress in 2000.  It has since conquered the world with numerous international tours and participation in festivals, receiving significant accolades along the way.The performances of the Bayanihan are being made possible through the efforts of the US-Philippines Society and the sponsorship of Philippine Airlines, The Lewis College, Shoe Mart Development Corporation, Natori, ABS-CBN, US Education Finance Group, and Vonage.  (END)
