Los Angeles, 18 February 2013. – Consul General Maria Hellen Barber De La Vega pays farewell call to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at his office on 14 February 2014.

Consul General De La Vega recalled the consistent and endearing concern of Mayor Garcetti to the Filipino and Fil-AM Communities in the City of Los Angeles since 2002, when he was then a Councilmember and spearheaded the resolution creating Historic Filipinotown in District 13.

The two officials discussed intensifying areas of cooperation in cultural exchange between sister-cities of Los Angeles and City of Makati and enhance trade ties between Los Angeles and the Philippines.
