(Relaxnews) – CBS has given a pilot order to Kevin Williamson’s new series, which could air on America’s most watched network during the 2014/2015 season.

Currently untitled, Williamson’s latest project is a psychological thriller on a special police unit tasked with handling stalkers. Williamson will write and executive produce the series.

Before creating “The Following,” currently in its second season on Fox, Williamson created the hit series “Dawson’s Creek” in the late 1990s. He was also among the developers of “The Vampire Diaries,” which premiered on the CW in 2009.

Known for his dark atmospheres and themes, Williamson rose to fame after penning the screenplays for “Scream” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
