Gucci Guilty gets limited edition studded bottle

(Relaxnews) – One of the Italian luxury brand’s top-selling fragrances has been given a new studded makeover for a limited time only.

Gucci Guilty Stud Limited Edition was unveiled at department store Harrods in London and Takashimaya in Singapore on December 1, before it rolls out globally to 20,000 locations around the world in February.

The women’s scent has been a huge success since it first appeared in 2010, joined by Gucci Guilty Pour Homme a year later, and has now been given a makeover, with two new his-and-hers flasks which feature 400 individual studs per bottle.

“Gucci Stud is more of what we look at as a collector’s item,” Luigi Feola, vice president, global luxury brands for P&G Prestige, explained to WWD.

While the studded bottles are highly desirable, the compositions have remained unchanged. The men’s fragrance blends together lavender, lemon, orange blossom, cedar and patchouli, while Gucci Guilty for women opens with mandarin, pink pepper and peach, over a floral heart of lilac and geranium, and base notes of amber and patchouli.

“I have always had a love of the rock aesthetic, and it is a constant source of inspiration to me. I like to think of Gucci Guilty Stud as bottled rock attitude,” said Gucci’s Frida Giannini.

Priced slightly higher than the standard versions, the scents will be available for $80 for the women’s 1.6-oz. eau de parfum and $88 for the men’s 3-oz. eau de toilette.
