(Relaxnews) – Contemporary Italian furniture studio Gufram is preparing to show off its new pieces by designers including Marcel Wanders and Karim Rashid at the “Wanted” exhibition running alongside ICFF New York.

The group has collaborated with a host of big names within the design industry to create a hot new collection for 2014.

Pieces include Boing by Karim Rashid, a playful chair fabricated from flexible polymers that channels a pop functionalist aesthetic. Each of the vibrant stackable chairs can be custom assembled, providing various possibilities in terms of color and contrast.

Industrial designer Ross Lovegrove has created a modular couch, Softcrete, featuring sections of polyurethane foam that replicates exposed concrete surfaces. A reclining version has been added for 2014.

Meanwhile Moooi founder Marcel Wanders has designed Hortensia, a soft foam sculpture designed to be admired from any direction and which also functions as a seat for up to two people.

“Wanted” will run May 16-19.
