(Relaxnews) – Hollywood bombshell and 1950s icon Marilyn Monroe has inspired an animated character by Chinese group DMG Entertainment and US-based Authentic Brands Group.

The “Mini Marilyn” character will be used for TV, film and live venue attractions, Variety reports.

According to the two groups, the design will serve as the engine for licensing, retail and brand opportunities, bringing the Hollywood star’s appeal to a wider Chinese audience. It was “soft launched” on Chinese social media platforms Sina Weibo and WeChat during February’s Lunar New Year holiday.
