(Relaxnews) – Here are some of the hottest menswear styles you can expect to see over the next 12 months.

Flowers

Men’s florals will be everywhere come spring. In Milan, Gucci and Prada showed off plenty of floral print suiting, followed on notably in Paris by Dries Van Noten. It doesn’t stop with the tailoring: bold prints also appear on silk shirts and trousers, as well as cotton and poplin t-shirts worn under blazers.

Slouchy suiting

Pilati’s return to the runway at Zegna featured plenty of slouchy summer suiting looks. The fluid lines in cottons, wool blends and linens were also featured in abundance at Emporio Armani and cropped up in Lucas Ossendrijver’s menswear at Lanvin.

50s casual style

Miuccia Prada is of course the queen when it comes to a retro-modern weekend look. Christophe LemaireBottega Veneta, and Brioni all played with pleated trousers, zip-up summer jackets, and preppy shirting too. Finish the look with plimpsolls, a smart lace up or a leather sandal.

For Spring 2014 you can shed off winter wools and start rocking technical fabrics in a range of surf, skate and soccer influenced styles. Shaun Samson is one of the young designers pushing the look while older fixtures on the luxury scene including Kris Van Assche and Issey Miyake are also behind the trend.

Soft man bags

Man bags have had a resurgence over the past few seasons as legions of stylish fashion week attendees appear with document holder-style leather accessories. Their iPads (and other tablet devices) are probably to blame, but this season the stiff forms will start to evolve and appear in slouchier (dare we say more feminine) forms. On the runway,BurberryJil Sander, and J.W. Anderson all showed off soft leather clutch bags for men which scrumpled or rolled under the arm. Expect plenty more of them.
