(Relaxnews) – Contemporary French furniture studio Moustache is celebrating its fifth birthday with a living ‘breathing’ installation at this year’s Milan Design Week.

The “Half Decade Beast” exhibition will feature 10 new projects by designers including Bertjan Pot, Scholten & Baijings, Formafantasma, Raw-Edges, Constance Guisset and Dimitri Bähler.

Lacquered chairs, moustache lamps and iridescent vases will all be on show as part of the display, in addition to a series of images from photographer Charles Negre.

The collection will also feature pieces from Moustache’s archives including designs by Inga Sempé and François Azambourg.

“Alive and breathing, the Half Decade Beast will offer, in its slow, assured breaths, 10 new projects which open and explore new options of publication and production,” read a statement from the brand.

The brainchild of designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, “Half Decade Beast” will be on show at the Spazio Rossana Orlandi during Milan Design Week before moving to Paris’s Bon Marche Rive Gauche in May.

Spazio Rossana Orlandi will run April 8-13.
