(Relaxnews) – Nicole Kidman is linked with “Wonder Woman,” the episode list for “Jessica Jones” generates crossover talk, and the cast list for “Doctor Strange” makes another impressive addition.

Wonder Woman to recruit Kidman

With Patty Jenkins in place to direct Gal Gadot in “Wonder Woman,” other pieces of the 2017 puzzle are slotting into place.

Chris Pine recently confirmed his involvement as Wonder Woman’s boyfriend, and now it looks like Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman will be joining as another key character, a “high-ranking Amazon warrior,” according to The Wrap.

While Wonder Woman herself is Amazonian, she is also the daughter of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, a daring heroine in her own right.

That sort of high-profile choice seems suitable for Kidman, who won an Oscar for her part as novelist Virginia Woolf in “The Hours.”

She had previously co-starred in 1995′s “Batman Forever” as police psychologist Dr. Chase Meridian.

Jessica Jones to end in crossover?

Charlie Cox of “Daredevil” is being tipped for a cameo appearance in November 20′s Netflix series “Jessica Jones,” which stars Krysten Ritter as superpowered PI Jones, Mike Colter as superhero Luke Cage, and David Tennant as the menacing Kilgrave.

A 13-episode synopsis for the show dropped on November 2 and, as well as titles for each chapter, brief descriptions offered a tantalizing tease of the adventures in store.

In particular, ComicBookMovie was among those to pick up on the final episode’s descriptor: “Jessica and Luke [Cage] get help from someone else in the neighborhood.”

Netflix’ “Daredevil” is also set in New York and its second season is coming early 2016, making the lawyer turned vigilante a likely candidate, as fans look forward to an eventual “Defenders” miniseries featuring Daredevil, Jones, Cage, and Iron Fist.

Michael Stuhlbarg for Doctor Strange

“Boardwalk Empire” actor Michael Stuhlbarg is set to join November 2016′s “Doctor Strange.”

Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor have already been cast as the title character and his nemesis, Baron Mordo, with Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelson also on board.

Like McAdams, Stuhlbarg is joining in a mystery role, according to The Hollywood Reporter and separately confirmed by Variety, which pegs him for the role of another surgeon and sorcerer, Nicodemus West.

It’ll be a first superhero movie for Stuhlbarg, who can currently be seen in “Steve Jobs” opposite Michael Fassbender of the “Thor” franchise.
