(Relaxnews) – To mark upcoming Memorial Day in the US, ice cream maker Baskin-Robbins has released a patriotic flavor studded with candy stars, Oreo cookie bits and strawberry-flavored stripes.

Behold the Oreo Independence flavor, created as a thank-you message to US troops both at home and abroad, says the ice cream brand.

Vanilla ice cream is studded with Oreo cookie bits, blue candy stars, and ribbons of strawberry stripes. The quarts will be sold across the US through to September.

For cheekier tastes, revelers can celebrate Memorial Day with a pint of Stephen Colbert’s AmericCone Dream, by Ben & Jerry’s, vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces and caramel swirl.
