UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association Announces the Awardees for its 2016 Benefit

Los Angeles, CA – The UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association (UCLA PAA) will hold its 2016 benefit themed, “OURSTORY:  Celebrating Our Past, Creating Our Future” on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Covel Commons on the campus of UCLA. This event celebrates UCLA PAA’s 25th anniversary, Samahang Pilipino’s 45th Anniversary, and the introduction of UCLA Residential Life’s Pilipin@ Living Learning Community.

The early evening starts with a VIP Reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Filipino-style dinner and program where the annual traditional awards and scholarships will presented.  Guests will enjoy an evening of community awards and scholarship presentations, silent auction, entertainment, music, dancing, and fun!

UCLA PAA proudly announces the awardees for the 2016 PAA Benefit which include:

- Distinguished Alumnus of the Year:  Van Gerard Dichoso ’91, CPA and Executive Producer

- Royal Morales Community Achievement Award:  Joselyn Geaga-Rosenthal ’68, Psychotherapist

- Royal Morales Community Achievement Award: Don T. Nakanishi, Ph.D. (posthumous), Director Emeritus, UCLA Asian American Studies Center and Professor Emeritus, UCLA Department of Asian American Studies

Ticket prices for the benefit event are as follows: $100 regular price, includes the dinner, desert, entertainment, dancing, great networking opportunities, and the awards.
